Aligarh SI suspended: A video of police behavior during vehicle checking in Aligarh is becoming increasingly viral on social media. In the video, a sub-inspector posted at Bannadevi police station is seen allegedly using abusive language and kicking a youth. As soon as the matter came to light, the police administration took immediate action and put the concerned Inspector on line and ordered a departmental inquiry.
Dispute occurred during vehicle checking, entire incident captured in video
According to the information, the incident took place at Sutmile intersection of Bannadevi police station area, where the police was conducting a vehicle checking campaign. Meanwhile, three youths arrived on the same bike and were stopped for investigation. It is being told that during the checking, an argument started between Sub-Inspector Rahul Tiwari and the youth regarding some issue. It is alleged that as the dispute escalated, the Inspector used abusive language with the youth and even kicked a youth. The youth present at the spot recorded the video of the entire incident on their mobile phones, which later went viral on social media.

SSP’s big action after viral video
After the video went viral, the matter quickly came into discussion. People raised questions about the behavior of the police on social media. Seeing the seriousness of the matter, Aligarh Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Neeraj Jadaun took immediate cognizance. SSP put Sub Inspector Rahul Tiwari on the line with immediate effect. Besides, instructions have also been issued for departmental inquiry and disciplinary action against him. Police officials say that further action will be taken on the basis of the investigation report.
Police said- Indiscipline will not be tolerated at any cost.
Area Officer City II Dhananjay Singh said that the use of objectionable language by the Sub Inspector has come to light in the viral video. On this basis, immediate administrative action has been taken.
Police say that indecent behavior and indiscipline with common citizens will not be accepted at any level. The departmental investigation will be completed impartially and based on whatever facts come to light, action will be taken as per rules.
