Insistent on opening the school, the government closed it, now KK Pathak is going on a long vacation

After the controversy over summer vacation in government schools of Bihar, Additional Chief Secretary of Education Department KK Pathak has applied for a long leave. KK Pathak has applied for leave from 3 June to 30 June. KK Pathak was adamant on keeping the schools open amid the scorching heat, after which Chief Minister Nitish Kumar himself had to intervene. CM Nitish Kumar had issued an order to close all the schools in the state from 30 May to 8 June. In such a situation, KK Pathak’s leave application is being seen as his displeasure.

There was summer vacation in schools from 15 April to 15 May. After this the schools opened. But the heat is at its peak. Raj Bhavan wrote a letter to Chief Secretary KK Pathak for vacation, but the schools remained open. Meanwhile, due to heat and heat wave in the state, more than a hundred children fell ill and fainted in many districts and were admitted to the hospital. After uproar and road blockage at many places, the Chief Minister had to intervene.

CM had directed the Chief Secretary to close the school

Chief Minister Nitish Kumar directed the Chief Secretary to close the schools. Meanwhile, instead of closing the schools, the Education Department issued a letter to reduce the school timings from 6 am to 10 am. After this, the Chief Secretary issued instructions to all the District Magistrates to close the schools till June 8. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar was also angry with KK Pathak. Now KK Pathak is going to go on a long leave.

Meanwhile, Director of Secondary Education Kanhaiya Prasad is retiring on 31st May. KK Pathak wanted an extension for him, but that could not happen. Amidst all this, KK Pathak is going to go on a long leave. KK Pathak is counted among the sharp officers of Bihar. He is known for his strict attitude. The opposition has also been attacking KK Pathak.
