New Family Has a Different Sort of Terror to Face
For a change of pace, the storyline deviates from the story of the Lambert family and focuses on Gemma, portrayed by Amelia Eve. This is about a young mother who raises her daughter in the home where she was raised.
Gemma finds out that she has the ability to move into The Further, which is the other dimension where lost souls roam free. But there is also something scary about the ability. It allows Gemma to invite beings from the supernatural dimension into the world that we live in, making her strange ability an entrance point for something else.
The official premise is also about three stalkers who take over a peaceful suburban neighborhood and drag a new family into the astral plane to discover the terrifying fact that The Further is now crossing into our world.
Lin Shaye Reprises the Role of Elise Rainier
Another familiar face returning to play their role in the franchise is Lin Shaye reprising her role as Elise Rainier. The director of Come Play is Jacob Chase who co-writes the screenplay along with Chase and David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick who write the story. In addition, the list of cast features Brandon Perea, Maisie Richardson-Sellers, Sam Spruell, Laura Gordon and Island Austin.
