A painful accident occurred on Sunday night in Semra No. two of Gulriha police station area of Gorakhpur district. Two telecom company employees died in an accident. They landed in Gonddhoiya drain under construction. Both employees used to work in the Jio Fiber Company and landed in the drain to restore the network due to the India-Pakistan cricket match.
This incident occurred when the wire was cut and required them to enter the pit to fix the network. The employees of Jal Nigam were working at the time of the incident, but they refused these employees to enter the drain. Despite this, the employees of the telecom company landed in the drain, so that they could fix the wires after the employees of Jal Nigam departed. Unfortunately, while working in the drain, a pile of mud fell on them and they were buried in the soil. Both employees died in this accident.
Suddenly a pile of mud fell
The deceased were identified as Nitish Kumar Gond, resident of Padh, a resident of Sikandarpur police station area of Ballia district and Mancharam Yadav, resident of Sarai Khargi Tola of Bikapur police station area of Ayodhya district. Both employees landed on Sunday night to fix the fiber wire in a 25 feet deep pit.
As soon as he landed in the pit, a pile of mud suddenly fell on them and they were buried in it. In a hurry, the local people rushed both of them to the hospital, but the doctor declared them dead.
Family members accused the company
The family members of the deceased have alleged that when their relatives came out to work in the pit, no supervisor or responsible person of the company was present there. He was sent to work in a deep pit without security. In this case, the police have taken both the bodies in possession and sent it for postmortem and started investigating the case.
This incident highlights the lack of security measures and the negligence of the company. Now action is being taken by the police and administration on this matter, so that such incidents can be avoided in future.
