IND vs SL: Team India will play only 2 matches, not 5, in Sri Lanka, test series schedule announced

India’s T20 series against England has started, which the fans were waiting for. After this series, an ODI series will be played between the two teams. Then Team India will also tour Zimbabwe but there will be only T20 series there too. Now there is good news for the fans of Test cricket because the schedule of the next series of the Indian team has been announced. Team India will tour Sri Lanka next month, where the 2-Test series will start from August 15. However, the 3 T20 match series has been cancelled.

The dates of this Test series were announced by Sri Lanka Cricket on Thursday 2 July, in which 2 Test matches will be played. After 9 years, the Indian team will tour Sri Lanka for the Test series. Last time in 2017, Team India played a Test match in Sri Lanka. This test series is a part of the ICC World Test Championship, in which the condition of Team India is not very good at present. In such a situation, it is very important for him to win this series at any cost, so that his chances of reaching the finals remain intact.

Talking about the schedule, India and Sri Lanka will play 2 test matches in this series in just 13 days. It will start from Indian Independence Day i.e. 15th August. The first match of the series will be played in the historic stadium of Galle from 15 to 19 August. On its last tour, Team India had won the test match played in Galle by 304 runs. Whereas, the second match will be played at the Sinhala Sports Club in Colombo from 23rd to 27th August. In the same tour, the Indian team won the Test match played on this ground by an innings and 53 runs.
