Indian cricket team’s star batsman Virat Kohli has left behind his idol Sachin Tendulkar at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. As soon as Virat Kohli touched the 80-run mark against New Zealand in the semi-finals of the ODI World Cup-2023 on Wednesday, he broke the 20-year-old record of Sachin Tendulkar. Virat has now scored more than 674 runs in this World Cup. With this he has become the batsman who has scored the most runs in an ODI World Cup.
Earlier this record was in the name of Sachin who had scored 673 runs in the ODI World Cup played in South Africa in 2003. No one could break this record for 20 years but Kohli broke this record of Sachin in his house itself. Virat broke Sachin’s record by taking one run on the third ball of the 34th over.
