IND vs NZ: Indian players under doctor’s observation, out of the third match against New Zealand, know what happened?

In the series against New Zealand, the Indian team suffered a shock when the star player had to be ruled out of the third match. Here we are not talking about the Test series being played between the men’s team of India and New Zealand but about the ODI series being played between the women’s teams of both the countries. The third and last ODI between India and New Zealand women’s teams is being played in Ahmedabad, due to which Shreyanka Patil has been ruled out.

Series tied between India and New Zealand

The 3 ODI series between India and New Zealand is currently tied at 1-1. India had won the first match of the series. Whereas New Zealand’s counterattack was visible in the second ODI. In such a situation, the third ODI has become decisive between the two teams. However, the Indian team will not be getting the support of Shreyanka Patil in this decisive match.

Why was Shreyanka Patil out of the third match?

Shreyanka Patil was out of the third ODI because she has shin splints. Shin splints cause pain in the lower part of the leg. BCCI shared information about Shreyanka Patil. It was also told that Shreyanka is currently under doctor’s supervision.

New Zealand batting first

In the third ODI being played in Ahmedabad, New Zealand team has won the toss and decided to bat first. India got its first major success in the 7th over itself, when it dismissed Suzie Bates. Suzy was run out after scoring 4 runs in 14 balls.

In the very next over, the Indian team also got its second success. This time bowler Saima Thakor took the wicket of Lauren Down, who could score only 1 run. Saima Thakor has made her international debut in this series.
