Team India, which is playing a five-match T20 series against Australia under the captaincy of Suryakumar Yadav, has shown a brilliant game so far. This team has taken a 2-0 lead by winning the first two matches. Now Team India will play in the third match at Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati on Tuesday. In this match, Team India will be eyeing a hat-trick of wins and winning the series. Looking at the form in which the Indian team is looking, it seems that it will win the series in the third match itself. But if India repeats its six-year-old mistake on this ground, then it will be difficult to capture the series in the third match itself.
The Australian team had defeated India in the final of ODI World Cup-2023. Although some players of that team are not in this team, but still this team is playing with full strength. The third match is very important for Australia. Defeat in this match will eliminate them from the series and hence Australia under the captaincy of Matthew Wade would like to win in Guwahati at any cost.
Australia will have to give its best
Australia will have to give its best in the third match. This team can defeat India. This scene was seen in the first match where Australia defeated India. Australia needs to play well as a unit. If this had happened then the problems of the host team would increase. Matthew Wade has not done anything special with the bat yet. Steve Smith, Josh English have played good innings. In the first match, English scored a century and Smith scored a half-century. In the second match, Marcus Stoinis showed explosive style and Tim David also supported him. Glenn Maxwell was definitely failing but the world knows about him that if his bat fails then any team is sure to be in trouble. The batting of the Australian team depends on these batsmen. The challenge for Team India will be to stop these people. However, till now Team India has been successful.
And bowling is Australia’s tension. In both the matches, the team’s bowlers have given away a lot of runs. Adam Zampa, Nathan Ellis, Tanveer Sangha have failed. Shaun Abbott has also given away a lot of runs. Jason Behrendorff may return to the team in place of Abbott in the third match. Wade will expect better play from his bowlers in this match.
Eyes on Rinku Singh, Ishan
Indian batting has been strong in this series. Ishan Kishan has scored half-centuries in both the matches. Rinku Singh has given the finishing touch in both the matches. In one match he led the team to victory and in the other match he led the team to a huge score. Captain Suryakumar Yadav will once again hope that both of them continue their prowess with the bat in the third match as well. Whereas opening batsmen Yashasvi Jaiswal and Rituraj Gaikwad had scored half-centuries in the second match. If the bat of these two fails in the third match, then what is the point. Captain Suryakumar Yadav would like to do the same thing in this match which he did on October 2 last year. Then in the match played between India and South Africa, he scored 61 runs in 22 balls in which he scored five half-centuries and five centuries. The team won that match also.
Victory will depend on this
Team India’s bowling will play an important role in this match and if seen, the decision of victory or defeat in this match will depend on which team’s bowling is good. The pitch of Barsapara Cricket Stadium is considered suitable for batsmen and runs are scored heavily here. Therefore, the team which bowls well will win the match. In the last match played between India and South Africa, 237 runs were scored here. Australia has managed to win on this ground on the basis of its excellent bowling. A T20 match was played between India and Australia on 10 October 2017 in which the Australian bowlers played brilliantly and won.
In that match, Australia had bowled out India for just 118 runs. Behrendorff took four wickets in that match. Australia won the match by scoring 122 runs after losing two wickets in 15.3 overs. Team India will have to be conscious of this and try to ensure that its batsmen do not repeat the mistakes that they made in the match played against Australia on the same ground six years ago. Australia can gain confidence from this.
