Ind Vs Afg 3rd Odi Result

India vs Afghanistan 3rd ODI: The last match of the 3-match ODI series between the teams of India and Afghanistan was played at the historic M Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. In this match, the Indian team won an easy victory by 9 wickets and won the series 3-0. This was also the first ODI series played between the two teams. Batting first in this match, Afghanistan team collapsed for only 218 runs in 44.2 overs. In response, the Indian team’s openers Rohit Sharma and Yashasvi Jaiswal, who came to chase the target, showered runs as soon as they came on the field, due to which Team India won by losing only 1 wicket. During this, Jaiswal scored a brilliant century.

Prasidh Krishna took 5 wickets

Even though Afghanistan won the toss in this match, the decision to bat first proved to be wrong. Indian fast bowler Prasidh Krishna looked dominant from the beginning. He sent 4 batsmen of Afghanistan to the pavilion in the power play itself. However, Afghan captain Hashmatullah Shahidi played a brilliant inning of 102 runs in 131 balls. Whereas, Azmatullah Omarzai scored 50 runs. There was a useful partnership between these two for the fifth wicket, due to which the team could reach a respectable score. But the rest of the batsmen could not last long.

In this match, Prasidh Krishna took 5 wickets for just 23 runs in 8.2 overs. This was his first five-wicket haul of his ODI career. Then the rest of the bowlers also supported him fully. Gurnoor Brar, Harsh Dubey and Prince Yadav also achieved 1 success each. At the same time, captain Shubman Gill ran out 2 batsmen.

Jaiswal scored an unbeaten century

India had a great start while chasing the target of 219 runs. Yashasvi Jaiswal and Rohit Sharma added 170 runs for the first wicket, which made the match one-sided. In this match, Rohit scored 79 runs facing 69 balls, which included 9 fours and 3 sixes. At the same time, Yashasvi Jaiswal scored unbeaten 110 runs in 86 balls, in which 14 fours and 3 sixes were seen. This is his second century in ODI cricket.
