Rohit Sharma was looking in great form in this match. He played an inning of 16 runs in 16 balls and apart from 2 fours, he also hit 1 six. However, he was run out in 5.1 overs due to poor coordination. Gill mentioned this run out after the match. He said, “Rohit saw the replays and said that everything was fine about the run out. The last time he played T20 against Afghanistan, he was also run out.” Saying this, Gill smiled.
Apart from this, while talking about the match, he said, “It was a kind of T20 match. We started well, but they snatched the match from us. Gurbaz was brilliant. Our bowling was excellent in the last overs. The wicket was brilliant. There was grip on the pitch for the spinners, the ball bounced well while they were bowling. I have practiced a lot of slip catches. I was telling my fielding coach that I have not caught any great catch and I am happy to catch it.”

Chasing the target, India won the match by scoring 195/3 runs at the loss of 3 wickets in 22.5 overs. For India, Shubman Gill played a brilliant unbeaten inning of 84 runs in 66 balls. Apart from this, KL Rahul scored unbeaten 39 runs in 19 balls.
