Gurnoor Brar vs AFG: Even though the first ODI match played between India and Afghanistan in Dharamsala was reduced to 25-25 overs due to rain, this match became memorable forever for two young bowlers of Indian cricket. Fast bowler Gurnoor Brar and spinner Harsh Dubey, who made their debut in this match, defeated the Afghan batsmen with their magical bowling. Especially Gurnoor Brar made such a record in his very first match, due to which his name got registered in the history of Indian cricket.

Gurnoor Brar made a historic blast

Punjab’s tall fast bowler Gurnoor Brar bowled 4.5 overs against Afghanistan and bowled very tightly. He took 3 important wickets by spending only 27 runs. Thanks to this brilliant performance, Gurnoor has joined the elite list of top bowlers who have bowled the best in their first ODI match for India. The record of best bowling in his ODI debut match for India is in the name of Prasidh Krishna, who took 4 wickets for 54 runs against England in 2021. Now Gurnoor Brar has become the fourth most successful bowler in India’s ODI debut history.

Spinner Harsh Dubey also shone

Apart from Gurnoor Brar, the other player who made his debut in the match, Harsh Dubey, also stole the show with the ball. This left-arm spinner definitely gave away a few runs in the match, but he gave India the necessary successes in the middle overs. Harsh Dubey took 3 important wickets giving 47 runs in his 5 overs. Together, both these young bowlers showed the way to the pavilion to a total of 6 batsmen of Afghanistan. Due to which the Indian team all out Afghanistan for 194 runs in 24.5 overs.
