The effect of heat wave will also continue in Raipur and Durg of Chhattisgarh, where the maximum temperature is expected to be up to 45°C. Jabalpur and Bhopal of Madhya Pradesh are also in no position to respite from the scorching heat. The temperature here will remain around 43 to 44 degrees.
How will the weather be in Delhi-NCR today?

The weather will be most unstable in Uttar Pradesh today. There is a danger of thunderstorm along with heat wave in cities like Agra, Kanpur, Prayagraj, Banda and Bareilly. There is a possibility of light rain and thunderstorm at many places. The weather will be relatively pleasant in Ranchi, the capital of Jharkhand. The maximum temperature here will be around 36°C, but strong winds and thunderstorms can add to the trouble. A warning of strong winds at a speed of 40-50Km/h has also been issued in Daltonganj and Chatra.
Relief will still not be available in Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh
The sun will be seen blazing in Bhopal, Indore, Ujjain and Jabalpur today. Temperatures can reach 44°C in many cities. However, there are indications of increase in thunderstorm activity in some areas after May 30. Durg and Raipur of Chhattisgarh will be most affected by the heatwave. IMD has issued a heatwave alert here. The maximum temperature in Raipur today can reach 45°C. There is a possibility of light rain with clouds and thunder in Jagdalpur, but there will be no respite from humidity.
How will the weather of North India and Central India be in the coming days?
According to IMD, pre-monsoon activities may further intensify in North India between May 29 and 31. A drop in temperature by 3 to 5 degrees is possible in Delhi, UP, Bihar and Jharkhand. At the same time, thunderstorm and rain activities may increase in Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh after May 30, which is expected to provide some relief from the heat.
