Former Bigg Boss 6 contestant Imam Siddique has penned an open letter to Bollywood actor and Bigg Boss 20 host Salman Khan, calling a recent reference to him on the reality show “extremely defamatory and factually incorrect.”
The controversy arose during the latest Weekend Ka Vaar episode, aired on Saturday, October 3, when Salman mentioned Imam while questioning contestant Qazi Touqeer about his behaviour during the week.
In an open letter shared on social media on Sunday, Imam said he had never harassed any contestant with the intention of troubling them during his time on Bigg Boss 6. He maintained that his journey on the show revolved around entertainment, tasks and performance, and that he had completed it with dignity.
“On your recent Bigg Boss #BB20 Weekend Ka Vaar episode, dated Saturday, October 3, 2026, you mentioned my name on national television in a manner which I found extremely defamatory and factually incorrect,” Imam wrote.
He further disputed the statement attributed to Salman, “Imam Siddique ne bhi yeh kiya tha…”, asserting that it misrepresented his conduct on the show.
Imam said he was being portrayed negatively before a national audience without being present to explain his side of the story. He expressed concern that the reference could damage his hard-earned reputation.
While expressing respect for Salman and the Bigg Boss platform, Imam requested a clarification and correction on the show and urged the host not to use his name in a defamatory context in the future.
“I have always respected you as an elder brother of the industry and I continue to do so. I hope you will address this with the same fairness you show inside the house,” he concluded.
