Actress Ileana D’Cruz gave fans a glimpse into her life as a mother by sharing an adorable picture with her son, Koa Phoenix Dolan, on social media.
In the candid photograph, Ileana is seen sitting outdoors with Koa comfortably resting on her lap. Dressed in a white shirt and denims, the actress smiles while looking at her son, who is seen wearing a white printed outfit paired with red-and-black shoes.
“Mini me + me,” Ileana captioned the post.
Ileana welcomed Koa with her husband, Michael Dolan, on August 1, 2023. She confirmed her marriage to Dolan in an interview in 2024 and described her married life as “beautiful”. The couple has largely kept their personal life private, although Ileana has occasionally shared glimpses of her husband and son.
She has previously referred to Michael and Koa as her “whole world”. During an Ask Me Anything session on social media, the actress also revealed that she was taking a break from films to spend more time with her son. Responding to a question about her return to movies, she said she wanted to give her son her time “right now”.
Before taking the break, Ileana returned to the big screen with Do Aur Do Pyaar, directed by Shirsha Guha Thakurta. The 2024 romantic comedy also featured Vidya Balan, Pratik Gandhi and Sendhil Ramamurthy and marked Ileana’s return to Hindi cinema after motherhood.
Ileana began her acting career in Telugu cinema with Devadasu in 2006 and went on to establish herself as a leading actress in the South. She made her Hindi film debut with Anurag Basu’s Barfi! in 2012, playing Shruti, the first love interest of Ranbir Kapoor’s character.
Barfi!, which also starred Priyanka Chopra, became a significant turning point in her Bollywood career. She later appeared in films including Phata Poster Nikhla Hero, Main Tera Hero, Happy Ending, Rustom, Baadshaaho, Raid, Pagalpanti, The Big Bull, Tera Kya Hoga Lovely and Do Aur Do Pyaar.
