“You all know what is the condition of the job market. Because of Artificial Intelligence, big tech companies are firing their employees. I was also fired from a big American tech company. For the last two months, I have been continuously applying for jobs, but am not getting any response. I have studied from a Tier-1 college (IIT), I also have referrals, still I do not understand why I am not getting a job.”

“I always feel that MBBS is the safest and most stable field. There is no risk of job loss here, there is 100% job security. Also, one gets a lot of respect in the society. A doctor never remains unemployed, at least he will earn something. And after a few years of experience, it becomes very easy to earn Rs 5-6 lakh per month or even more.”

“I have seen that in the parking lot of the hospital near my house in Bombay, many doctors have expensive cars like BMW

“Many people say that there is no benefit in MBBS and B.Tech is better. But the reality of India is different. 83% of B.Tech graduates here are unemployed. Even among those who get jobs, most of them start with a meager salary of Rs 3.5 lakh per annum. Yes, the story is different if you are from an IIT, NIT or Triple IT. But even an average MBBS graduate earns much more than this. I don’t understand why this much Why do people say that MBBS is not profitable despite good earnings?”

Many people have commented on this young man’s post. Most believe that layoffs in the tech sector are a bitter reality and people should now focus on career options where job stability is more.
