Waqf law is being strongly opposed in Bengal. Violence erupted in Murshidabad, South 24 Parganas, Malda and Hooghly districts of Bengal on Friday. So far three people have died and many were injured in the violence. More than 150 people have been arrested so far. A large number of security forces have been deployed after the violence. The court has ordered the deployment of CAPF.
Things still stressful in Murshidabad
Section 163 has been implemented in violence affected areas and internet services have been discontinued. Things are still tense. Union Home Secretary Govind Mohan has spoken to the DGP, the Chief Secretary of Bengal, regarding the violent demonstration on the Waqf law. He said that there is a close watch on violence in Murshidabad district. Three people including father and son were killed during the violence. 15 policemen have also been injured in this violence.
Arson was conducted during the violence. Stoned on security forces. Railway properties were damaged. Leader of Opposition in the West Bengal Assembly has demanded the NIA to hand over the investigation of damage to the railway property and sabotage the NIA. He wrote a letter to Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav and said that I request you to hand over these incidents of sabotage to the NIA.

Violence against Waqf in Murshidabad
400 people migrated from Dhulian- Shubhendu
Regarding the Murshidabad violence, Shubhendu Officer said that social fabric has been broken in Bengal. Bengal is burning. Mamta Banerjee should be ashamed. TMC politics promoted the radical element. He said that 400 people migrated from Dhulian due to fear. BJP Chief Sukant Majumdar said that Mamta’s jihadi army is spreading chaos throughout Bengal.
Waqf law will not apply in Bengal- Mamta
Amid protests against the Waqf law, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has said that the Waqf Amendment Act will not be applicable in Bengal. We do not support it. Some parties want to take political advantage. We did not make the law against which people are agitating. This law has been made by the Central Government. We do not support any violence.
