A prisoner lodged in the district jail in Kannauj district of Uttar Pradesh had completely given up hope of his release. He was in jail about 11 months ago in an assault case. Prisoner Shiva has no family members, due to which there was neither anyone to take his bail nor anyone to advocate for him. In such a situation, when the prisoner Shiva came out of the jail after the help given by the Legal Services Authority, he started break dancing in front of the officers at the jail gate itself. Prisoner Shiva was so happy to be released that he could not stop himself from dancing, the video of which is now going viral on social media.
The whole matter is outside the gate of Kannauj district jail. It is being told that a prisoner named Shiva, resident of Chhibramau area, had come to the district jail 11 months ago regarding some matter. Shiva neither knew how to read nor write. He found a good environment in the jail, after which he learned to read and write there. Shiva also learned to make his own sign here, but there was no one in Shiva’s family, due to which Shiva had given up hope of coming out of jail.
No one in the prisoner’s family
In Shiva’s case, there was neither anyone to advocate nor anyone to take bail. At the same time, a special scheme is run by the Legal Services Authority, in which to help such prisoners who are completely helpless, a free lawyer is provided to them to plead their case. Fulfilling all the ambit of the law, the Legal Services Authority worked for the release of prisoner Shiva. Besides, the bail amount was also paid through an NGO, after which Shiva was released.

Shiva could not contain the joy of his release. Keeping his luggage behind, he started break dancing in front of the officers at some distance outside the jail gate. Someone made a video of the prisoner break dancing and made it viral on social media. Prisoner Shiva told that he neither has a mother nor a father. He learned to read and write only after coming to jail. He had no hope that he would ever be able to come out of jail, but he got help from the Legal Services Authority and was able to come out of jail. Shiva told that he will never do any kind of criminal activity.
