KTM remains a powerhouse for talent development in motorcycling, actively nurturing young riders through its initatives and programmes in younger categories.
Pedro Acosta is the latest KTM rider to ascend to MotoGP, and he’s widely seen as a future championship contender.
This year, David Alonso shattered records in Moto3. Although not directly linked to KTM, he races for CFMOTO Aspar, and as is known, CFMOTO has a partnership with Pierer Mobility Group, which also encompasses KTM.
During a ServusTV program, KTM’s sporting director, Pit Beirer, acknowledged that Alonso is on their radar. Former rider Alex Hoffmann, also on the show, remarked:
– I think Pit Beirer believes it would be good to have Acosta and Alonso together in MotoGP. But it’s also important for KTM to recognize that it’s a process. Right now, there are four Ducati riders who are faster. But they are taking care of the rest over breakfast.
