Nana Patekar said, “I wanted to play the role of Bhagat Singh ji. But that age is no more. He was martyred at a very young age. I won’t be able to play a character of that age right now. But there is one thing. For me, all these revolutionaries are my gods. Although I go to the temple very rarely, or not at all. Apart from my parents, the pictures in my house are of Baba Amte and Tai Amte, I also worship them. For me, this revolutionary is also God like him.”
