There it has been introduced in six variants like Comfort, Limited MT, Limited AT, X Line, Platinum and Ultimate. When will the new Hyundai i20 be launched in India?
Hyundai has not yet given any information about the launch timeline of the new i20 in India. However, if reports are to be believed, this new hatchback may hit Indian roads sometime in 2027.
How different is the new Hyundai i20 from the existing model?
The new i20 looks completely different from the current generation. Now this hatchback has been given a crossover inspired design. It has a sharp hexagonal grille, a newly designed split headlamp setup, Y-shaped LED DRLs and a new connected LED light bar at the front. Viewed from the side, the i20 looks longer than before and has newly designed alloy wheels and square wheel arches. At the rear, it gets a full-width LED rear light bar.

The i20 launched in Brazil is 135mm longer and 5mm wider than the current Indian model. The length of the new model is 4,130mm, width is 1,780mm and wheelbase is 2,580mm. In comparison, the current i20 sold in India measures 3,995mm in length and 1,775mm in width.
How much is the boot space?
The fourth-generation i20 has a boot space of 346 litres, which can be expanded to 1,152 liters by folding the rear seats.
What are the major updates to the interior?
In Brazil, the new i20 is available with a black and dual-tone gray cabin theme, depending on the variant. The hatchback now features a new dual-screen cockpit layout, with both displays measuring approximately 12.3 inches. The newly designed dashboard, redesigned center console and premium upholstery further enhance the cabin experience.
The new i20 has many features like wireless smartphone connectivity, Hyundai BlueLink connected car technology, OTA (over-the-air) updates, rear view camera display on the screen, front and rear USB charger and wireless phone charger.
Which engine options will be available?
The Brazil-spec i20 has a 1.0L MPI naturally aspirated flex petrol engine, which generates 115bhp power and 172Nm torque. It has a 6-speed automatic gearbox. It is expected that the new i20 in India will come with the existing 1.2L naturally aspirated petrol and 1.0L turbo petrol engine options.
Will Hyundai bring the hybrid version of the new i20 to India?
