Xiaomi recently introduced HyperOS 2, initially revealing a timeline for device updates in China. A leaked schedule turned out to be incorrect, but Xiaomi has now released the official timeline.
Fortunately, users won’t have to wait until 2025 for the new OS version.
The first devices to receive HyperOS 2 this month are the Xiaomi 14T and 14T Pro. Joining them are the Xiaomi 14, 14 Ultra, and the Xiaomi 13T Pro, though not the 13T. The Redmi Note 13 series and Poco X6, X6 Pro, F6 Pro, and M6 Pro will also transition to HyperOS 2 in November. Additionally, the Mix Flip is among the early adopters.
December Updates for Older Models
In December, more devices will receive updates. This includes models like the Xiaomi 13T and older series such as Xiaomi 13, 12, and 11. The update extends to the 12T and 12T Pro models as well. Both the Redmi 13 and Redmi Note 12 series (covering both their 4G and 5G versions) are set for updates next month.
Older Poco models like X5 Pro, F5, F5 Pro, X4 GT, and F4 GT are also scheduled for updates. Interestingly, newer phones like the Poco C75 will receive HyperOS 2 despite launching with version 1 just last October.
Tablets and Wearables Transition
Xiaomi’s tablets and wearables are also part of this update plan. Starting in November, devices such as the Xiaomi Pad 6S Pro 12.4 and Smart Band 9 Pro will transition to HyperOS 2. In December, additional devices like the Xiaomi Pad 6, Poco Pad, and several Redmi Pads will follow suit.
By year-end, some Xiaomi phones from as far back as late-2020 will have received HyperOS 2 updates. However, not all models from that era will see updates; for instance, the Poco X4 Pro and standard F4 are excluded from this rollout. This comprehensive update strategy reflects Xiaomi’s commitment to keeping its flagship number series up-to-date with recent software advancements.
