What is the relation between snoring and heart attack?
People who snore excessively have an increased risk of heart attack. The main reason for this is sleep apnea. When a person has obstructive sleep apnea (OSA), his breathing stops repeatedly while sleeping. Due to this, the level of oxygen in the body also decreases, due to which there is more pressure on the body. Blood pressure may suddenly increase and heart beat may also become irregular. Inflammation increases in the body and increased pressure on the blood vessels increases the risk of heart attack or stroke.

Ways to avoid snoring
- If you want to avoid snoring, then some things have to be kept in mind. Never make the mistake of lying down immediately after eating food. Take a walk for some time. Doing this will not only reduce weight but will also remove the problem of snoring.
- If you are overweight, it is very important to reduce it.
- Do not smoke cigarettes or consume alcohol. If you do this then reduce it gradually. Avoid eating heavy food before sleeping.
- One should sleep with a pillow under the head. This reduces snoring.
- Sleeping on your side is a better solution than sleeping on your back. Before going to bed, you should clean your nose and throat properly so that there is no problem of snoring.
