According to sources in a media report, a woman was admitted by her husband to Apollo Multispeciality Hospital in September 2021 after the accident. The woman suffered several head injuries, after which she underwent several surgery including neurosurgery. Despite all this, the woman’s ability to speak has gone and the lower part of her body is paralyzed. Meanwhile, when the woman’s condition stabilized and the hospital administration asked her husband to take them home, she refused to take the woman home.
Case reached court
The husband was repeatedly asked to take the woman home in the hospital, but he did not listen to the hospital at all. After this, the hospital administration turned to the West Bengal Clinical Establishment Regulatory Commission and informed them about the whole matter. After this, the hospital decided to go to court in the case. In this case, the lawyer appearing for the hospital told the court that the woman is undergoing treatment in the hospital. During this time he has also undergone many surgery.
‘1 crore rupees out of treatment’
His insurance of 6 lakh rupees of the woman has ended a long time ago. The hospital counsel said that the outstanding bill for treatment of the woman is one crore rupees. In this case, when Judge Amrita Sinha asked husband Jayaprakash Gupta the reason for not taking her husband to the hospital, the husband told the court that he runs a shop. He has no means to take care of his wife. The court has instructed the Advocate General to appear on 9 April in this case. Also, the husband has also asked the husband to appear.
