Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) Secretary Jay Shah has once again been elected as the President of the Asian Cricket Council. It is believed that Jay Shah is also at the forefront of the race for the election of ICC President to be held this year. Jay Shah has been the Secretary of BCCI for the last three years and many changes have been seen in the board under his leadership.
But you will be surprised to know that Jay Shah does not get any salary from BCCI. Actually, there is no fixed monthly or annual salary for all the BCCI officials. However, there are many other facilities for the officers of the Board and they are given facilities for attending meetings, traveling and many other things.
How much money do officials get?
BCCI had decided to increase the expenses of the officials after the AGM meeting of October 2022. Board officials get an allowance of Rs 40 thousand per day for attending any meeting in the country, whereas for meetings held abroad, officials get around Rs 80 thousand per day.
Not only this, be it within the country or abroad, every officer gets a business class ticket from the board for travelling. These facilities are available only to BCCI President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer and some other top officials. Let us tell you that BCCI officials also work in other boards, just as Jay Shah is the BCCI Secretary as well as the President of the Asian Cricket Council. There too, allowance is given on the basis of meeting only.
