Ashadha Gupt Navratri 2026: Most of the people know only about Chaitra and Shardiya Navratri which come in the year, in which nine forms of Maa Durga are worshiped and fast is observed, but apart from this there are two more Navratri, which are called Gupt Navratri. Gupt Navratri also falls twice a year. Gupt Navratri falls for the first time in the year in the month of Ashadha and second time in the month of Magh. Unlike Chaitra and Shardiya Navratri, there is a tradition of celebrating Gupt Navratri peacefully.

There is no big public festival, procession or community program in this. While there is a tradition of worshiping nine forms of Goddess Durga during Chaitra and Shardiya Navratri, 10 Mahavidyas are worshiped during Gupt Navratri. Public festivals and community programs are seen in normal Navratri, but the sadhana of Gupt Navratri is kept confidential. There is also a difference in the worship method of normal Navratri and secret Navratri. It is believed that keeping the Sadhana of Gupt Navratri a secret leads to quick success.

Secret of nine days of Gupt Navratri

The nine days of Gupt Navratri are considered to be personal prayers, sadhana, meditation and introspection. According to spiritual traditions, the divine nine days of Gupta Navratri have been dedicated to the worship of the subtle and most powerful forms of femininity. During this time people pray to the Mahavidyas to gain inner knowledge, strength and spiritual development. During this time, spending a few minutes in meditation or chanting any sacred mantra calms the mind.
