Actor and Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) chief has been making headlines lately as he continues his political outreach ahead of the Tamil Nadu elections.
The actor’s film , as well the phase of him switching gears to political career has become the talk of the town. The former actor is currently busy with his election campaigning, and amid this, a video circulating on X (formerly Twitter) has grabbed attention.

In the clip, Vijay is seen reacting to a framed picture handed to him by a fan. The frame featured late actor-politician Vijayakanth, along with estranged wife Sangeetha Sornalingam dressed as a bride.
The video shows a fan first clicking a selfie with the customised frame before moving closer to Vijay’s campaign vehicle. He lifts the frame high to ensure it’s visible. Vijay notices it almost instantly, gestures to his security team, and asks for it to be passed to him. After receiving it, he briefly holds it up, giving people around him a clear look before returning it.
The video quickly went viral, and people online had different reactions. Some people were surprised that Vijay admitted to seeing a picture of his estranged wife, while others thought his answer was probably affected by the fact that Vijayakanth was in the picture.

Meanwhile, Vijay’s personal life has also come into focus. Sangeetha has filed for divorce in a family court in Tamil Nadu’s Chengalpattu district. In her petition, she has accused Vijay of being involved in an extramarital relationship with an actress. She has also alleged mental cruelty, neglect, and desertion, adding that she may name the actress as a second respondent if required.
She has sought dissolution of the marriage, along with residence rights in the matrimonial home and permanent alimony.
Vijay and Sangeetha got married on August 25, 1999, in Chennai in an interfaith ceremony. They have two children, their son Jason Sanjay, born in 2000, and daughter Divya Saasha, born in 2005. Despite being married to one of Tamil cinema’s biggest stars, Sangeetha has largely maintained a low profile over the years.
On the other hand, Thalapathy Vijay’s final film , which is supposed to be a big screen movie, has been in limbo ever since its initial January release date was postponed due to CBFC certification issues. Recently, it was reported that the movie has been leaked online on piracy sites in HD format.
