A mistake by the driver became the cause of death?
Initial information has revealed that the ambulance driver may have dozed off, due to which the collision occurred. All those who died were residents of Chak 5B village in Hindumalkot area of Sri Ganganagar district. As soon as the news of the accident was received, the team of Sadar Police Station reached the spot and admitted the injured to the Trauma Center in Suratgarh. After initial treatment there, he was referred to another hospital for better treatment. The bodies of the deceased have been kept in the mortuary of Suratgarh Sub-Divisional Hospital.
Another major accident took place in Dholpur district
- The police is investigating the matter further. Earlier on Saturday also, another major accident had taken place in Dholpur district of Rajasthan. At least 32 people were injured in a head-on collision between a private bus and a truck on National Highway-11B here. Of the injured, 8 people were in critical condition and were referred to another hospital for better treatment.
- Bari’s Additional SP Shravan Jhorad said, “The accident happened near a Reliance petrol pump on Khanpur Road. 32 people traveling in the bus were injured. Six people have been referred from here on the advice of doctors. Five were sent from here and one person was taken directly to Dholpur from the spot.”
The bus was going from Dholpur to Bari
According to the information, the bus was going from Dholpur to Bari. Suddenly a motorcycle appeared near Dhanaura turn. While trying to save him, the bus driver lost control and the bus collided with a truck coming from the front. As soon as the information was received, the police reached the spot and took the injured to Bari Hospital by ambulance. Later the seriously injured were referred to Dholpur. Police said that with the help of a crane, the damaged bus and truck were removed from the highway and traffic was resumed.

- Principal Medical Officer (PMO) of Bari Hospital, Hari Kishan Mangal, said, “Around 30 injured have been brought to the hospital. Most of them are men and women, only one or two are children. The condition of 8 patients is critical and they have been referred to the district hospital. The rest are being treated here.”
- Rajveer, one of the injured passengers, said, “A truck was coming from Bari and the bus from Dholpur. Next to it were a woman and a man on a motorcycle. To save them, the bus came directly in front of the truck. There was a head-on collision, the glass was broken. I was right in front, so I know. Then I was thrown out by the broken glass. What happened after that, I don’t know. The entire bus was full.”
