After a love dispute in Tumkuru, Karnataka, a young man kidnapped his girlfriend and injured her with a knife. Later he committed suicide by bursting a crude bomb in the car. Police have found another bomb from his house.
Bengaluru: In Tumkuru, Karnataka, a youth committed suicide by bursting a country-made bomb inside his car. Now a new twist has come in this matter. The boy’s friend has told the police that Nagendra, who died, threatened his girlfriend Ramya with a knife and then forcefully took her into the car. Police found another country-made bomb while searching Nagendra’s house. This incident happened after a fight in a love affair, in which the young man injured his girlfriend by stabbing her and then took his own life.
According to the information received by the police, Nagendra had reached Ramya’s Jaynagar house at around 11.30 am yesterday. A friend who lived with Ramya told the police that Nagendra threatened Ramya with a knife and forced her to sit in his car. Ramya has also told the police that Nagendra had threatened her to burst the bomb. Ramya’s condition is now improving and the police has recorded her statement. On the basis of this statement, the police have registered an FIR against Nagendra.
However, the police are yet to find out from where Nagendra got the country-made bomb. Police today searched Nagendra’s house in Ankola, from where another crude bomb was recovered. In the presence of the Bomb Squad, this bomb was taken to a secluded place and destroyed.
It was Ramya’s friend who had called the police and informed about her kidnapping. When the police came to know that they were traveling in a cab, they immediately called the cab driver and asked him to bring the vehicle to the police station. As soon as the driver changed the route of the vehicle, Nagendra attacked Ramya with a knife. After this the driver immediately stopped the car and pulled Ramya out. Due to this wisdom of the driver, Ramya’s life was saved. Ramya is now out of danger.
