The murder of Sufiyana Khatoon of Sigarhia village in Motihari, Bihar has been solved. Sufiyana was murdered by none other than her own brother. The accused brother has confessed to the crime. He said that his sister was having an affair with some boys of the village. He tried to convince his sister a lot, but when she did not listen, he along with his cousin ended her life.
The police arrested both the accused and presented them in the court, from where they have been sent to jail in judicial custody for 14 days. This incident is of 7 June 2024. On that day, the police recovered the body of Sufiyana Khatoon from the fields of Sigarhia village. The police identified the body from the villagers and started investigating the case along with the dog squad and forensic team. During the investigation, the police released the sniffer dog from the crime scene several times, but every time it would come and stop outside Sufiyana’s house.
Suspicion arose on brother Rizwan
This made the police suspicious and they proceeded with the investigation with the help of electronic surveillance. The entire suspicion fell on Sufiyana’s brother Rizwan. After this, the police took Rizwan into custody and questioned him. At first, Rizwan tried to mislead the police, but when the police became a little strict, he not only confessed to the crime, but also revealed the name of his accomplice, cousin Azad. After this, the police arrested both the accused.
WhatsApp chats were found with many boys
Rizwan told the police during interrogation that his sister was having an affair with some boys of Sufiyana village. Because of this, the family was being defamed. He said that his sister was in the WhatsApp group of such boys. Many objectionable WhatsApp chats were also found in her mobile. After this, he tried to convince his sister a lot, but she did not listen. Finally, he planned to kill his sister and included his cousin Azad in this.
Police sent him to jail
After preparing a full proof plan, on the night of 7 June 2024, he called his sister away from home and killed her by stabbing her 25 times. Not only this, after committing the crime, he hid his clothes in the garden and came home and pretended to search for his sister himself. He told the police that he committed this crime to save public honour. The police have registered a case against the accused and sent him to jail.
