Honda’s masterstroke, electric Activa will have this feature which will outweigh Chetak, Ola, iQube, Ather

Honda 2-Wheelers India, the company making the country’s number-1 scooter Honda Activa, is now going to launch its electric version. Before Honda, almost all its competitors like Bajaj and TVS and new age EV companies Ola and Ather have launched their electric scooters. But Honda has prepared to defeat all these together and its Honda Activa EV is going to have a tremendous feature.

Honda’s electric Activa scooter is going to be launched in India on 27th of this month. The company is going to launch it in Bengaluru. This scooter of the company is going to be based on its worldwide selling electric scooter Honda CUV e. It is expected to have a range of more than 100 km in a single charge.

Electric Activa will have swappable battery

Honda Activa EV will now have swappable battery pack. Now this has been confirmed in many media reports. It will have dual battery setup. One battery will be fixed in it while the other battery can be removed and taken anywhere. This will be Honda’s swappable mobile power pack.

Simple Energy had promised a similar feature in its scooter. The company had introduced this scooter along with Ola and had also started booking it, but the company’s scooter has not yet reached the market properly.

This is how Bajaj, TVS, Ola Ather will be challenged

Honda’s introduction of swappable batteries in its electric Activa scooter is being considered a masterstroke. The reason for this is that the public charging infrastructure in India is not that strong at present. If people using scooters come from low income group, then they are likely to face problems ranging from parking facility to charging.

Therefore, swappable batteries allow them to carry the battery pack with them at home and charge it. Therefore, the company can get an edge in selling electric scooters on the basis of the brand image of its Activa. In contrast, scooters of other companies come with fixed batteries. The demand for this scooter can be seen among the customers living in flats and rented houses.
