A girl from Sardhana police station area of Meerut, Uttar Pradesh has accused her ex-boyfriend and his family of physically, mentally and financially exploiting her for years on the pretext of marriage and converting her from Hindu to Muslim.
The victim finally lost courage and resorted to the police in her last hope and demanded action. The victim girl alleged that she was working in the field of modeling in Delhi since 2015.

In the year 2016, both of them moved to Mumbai and started living together. The girl alleges that Wasil promised to marry her and their relationship was based on this trust.
Got pregnant in 2017
After one year passed, she became pregnant in the year 2017. The girl alleged that when she raised the issue of marriage, the young man and his family postponed the decision citing various reasons. The victim claims that she had to undergo an abortion due to family pressure and even after this she was continuously assured of marriage. The victim says that she completely trusted Wasil and kept giving him a major part of her income from modeling.

It is alleged that in the last ten years, Rs 50 to 60 lakhs were taken from him, which were used for the financial needs of the young man and his family. Despite this, only assurances were received regarding marriage. The victim told that Wasil also took her to his house several times, which made her believe that the family had accepted her as his daughter-in-law. However, when she reached his house in Sardhana in May 2026, she got to know that Wasil had married another girl on 2 May 2026.
In this matter, SP Dehat Abhijeet Kumar said that a complaint has been received from the girl. A case has been registered in this matter and action is being taken. At present, the accused youth has not been arrested yet.
