Una Car Crash: A heart-wrenching accident came to light in Una district of Himachal Pradesh on Wednesday afternoon, when a car going to Ludhiana suddenly lost control and fell into a 200 feet deep gorge. The accident was so horrific that within a few moments the vehicle burst into flames and the two devotees traveling in it burnt to death on the spot. The incident took place on the Bharwain-Hoshiarpur road, which is already considered a dangerous “black spot” by the locals.
CCTV footage revealed the mystery of the accident
The footage captured in the local CCTV camera has revealed the last moments of the accident. It was seen in the video that the car was moving towards the turn at normal speed, but suddenly it lost control and went straight towards the roadside slope. After this, the vehicle caught fire as it fell into a deep ditch. According to eyewitnesses, a loud bang-like sound was heard just before the accident, due to which it is suspected that the driver lost control due to a burst tire or technical fault.

The fire turned everything to ashes
The car immediately caught fire after the accident, making any rescue attempt almost impossible. By the time the police and fire department teams reached the spot, the vehicle was completely burnt to ashes. Two bodies were recovered from the spot, one outside the vehicle and the other inside. Police have also recovered an Aadhar card from the car, on the basis of which efforts are being made for identification.

According to the local administration, this place is already considered vulnerable to accidents. Due to a part of the road being damaged and open towards the ditch, there have been many accidents here, but the lack of permanent corrective steps still remains a matter of concern.

According to preliminary information, both the devotees were returning to Ludhiana after visiting Chintpurni temple in Una. This journey suddenly turns into a tragedy which has left two families in deep shock. Police have registered a case and started investigation and all aspects including the technical condition of the vehicle are being investigated.
