Police have arrested five tourists from Delhi in Rishikesh, Uttarakhand. They are accused of drinking alcohol in public, misbehaving with the local people and assaulting a parking person. This incident happened on Saturday night in Muni Ki Reti area, the video of which is now going viral on social media and people are expressing a lot of anger over it.
According to the police, these people were drinking beer in the open after parking their Mahindra Thar car. When the local people protested against this and complained to the parking attendant, the attendant stopped them from doing so. An altercation started on this issue.
Within no time, the matter got so bad that one of the accused kicked the parking attendant and tore his clothes. In the video going viral on the internet, these people are seen abusing and behaving violently. During the fight, two people were also seen half dressed.
In a video, a man is seen trying to attack someone by picking up a big stone, but is stopped by other people. Police said that on the information of local people, these accused were stopped from fleeing the area. Later all five were arrested and their car was also confiscated.
The accused have been identified as Tushar Mishra, Manish Singh, Ashish, Vicky and their female friend Kajal. It is being told that all of them had come from Burari area of Delhi to visit Rishikesh on the weekend. According to the police, a complaint has been registered, the Thar vehicle has been seized and further legal action is being taken.
