Here the Kiwis swept the table 3-0, on the other hand Team India was out of the WTC Final, now India’s neighboring country will face Australia at Lord’s.

WTC Final: For the first time in the history of Test cricket, Team India had to face a clean sweep in a 3-Test series on Indian soil. The shameful series defeat in the Test series against New Zealand has not only put a question mark on the cricketing career of captain Rohit Sharma but has also made the path of Team India to reach the WTC Final difficult.

Due to which it is now believed that in the WTC Final starting from June 11, 2025, India will not be seen playing with Australia but their neighboring country.

Kiwis wiped out Team India

WTC Final

This test series was very important for Team India to make its place in the WTC 2025 final, but under the leadership of captain Rohit Sharma, the performance of Team India in the New Zealand Test series was very average. Due to which the New Zealand team defeated India 3-0 in the 3-match test series and gave it the biggest test series defeat in the history of Indian cricket.

Team India out of WTC Final

Team India is still at the second position in the points table after losing the Test series against New Zealand 3-0. Still, if Team India wants to qualify for the WTC FINAL, then the team will have to win 4 out of the remaining 5 Test matches, which looks quite difficult considering the recent form of Team India. Due to which it is definitely believed that Team India can no longer qualify for the WTC Final.

Sri Lanka will face Australia at Lord’s

At present, if we look at the WTC POINTS table, Australia is at the top while the Indian team is at the second position. Sri Lanka is present at the third position. In such a situation, if Sri Lanka performs amazingly in the remaining Test cycle (WTC Test), then the Sri Lankan team can be seen in front of Australia in the WTC Final match to be held between June 11 and June 15.
