The news of Paresh Rawal’s exit from ‘Hera Pheri 3’ again shocked the fans. But the matter is not as fresh as is being said on social media. The viral report is actually based on one year old information, which was presented as a new update. It is a matter of relief that at present the possibility of ‘Hera Pheri 3’ being made without Baburao is considered very less.
‘Hera Pheri 3’ starring the trio of Akshay Kumar, Sunil Shetty and Paresh Rawal is once again in the news. Suddenly news started going viral on social media that Paresh Rawal has left the film again. This created a huge stir among the fans. However, upon investigation, it was revealed that this entire matter is not new, but is an old report of the year 2025, which went viral again in 2026. Interestingly, the same old figures and the same contract details were used in the news, making it clear that the information circulating on the internet is not latest. In such a situation, fans of ‘Baburao’ do not need to panic.
Why did the news of Paresh Rawal leaving ‘Hera Pheri 3’ go viral?
On Saturday, news started appearing on social media and many entertainment portals that Paresh Rawal has once again left ‘Hera Pheri 3’. These reports claimed that the actor returned the signing amount and also paid additional compensation for his exit from the film. But the interesting thing is that the same information was revealed exactly a year ago, in May 2025. The Bollywood Hungama, which was quoting the claim of Paresh Rawal leaving ‘Hera Pheri 3’ again, has made it clear that his one year old news has been presented by the media as the latest news. At that time this matter had become a big controversy and there was disappointment among the fans.

Akshay Kumar’s company had filed a case
Last year it was reported that Akshay Kumar’s production company Cape of Good Films had filed a claim of around Rs 25 crore against Paresh Rawal. According to reports, a legal case had started after leaving the film. Later it also came to light that Paresh Rawal had returned the signing amount of Rs 11 lakh with 15 percent annual interest. Apart from this, additional amount was also paid for separation from the film. After a few weeks, the matter was resolved between the two parties and Paresh Rawal rejoined the franchise.
There was a dispute over fees and payment clause.
According to the report, Paresh Rawal was to get around Rs 15 crore for ‘Hera Pheri 3’. But initially he was given only Rs 11 lakh as signing amount. The remaining Rs 14.89 crore was to be received one month after the film’s release. The actor was told to have objection regarding this payment structure. Quoting sources in the report, it was written that the shooting of the film was to start next year. This meant that ‘Hera Pheri 3’ would have released by the end of 2026 or 2027. In such a situation, Paresh Rawal would have to wait for about two years to get his remaining fees. The biggest twist is that in the news now going viral, the same old lines and the same figures were used, which were in the 2025 report. If this news was really new, then in 2026, Paresh Rawal would have had to wait not for two years but only for a few months for his fees. This made it clear that the information spreading on the internet is old.

Why should fans not panic?
The character of Baburao Ganpatrao Apte is considered to be the most iconic in the ‘Hera Pheri’ franchise. In such a situation, it is difficult for the fans to imagine the film without Paresh Rawal. At present, it is believed in the industry that whenever ‘Hera Pheri 3’ is made, Baburao will definitely be seen in it. This is the reason why despite the rumors spread on social media, fans are now heaving a sigh of relief.
