According to a report in Bollywood Hungama, lyricist Sameer Anjaan spoke about Hera Pheri 3 fate and made it clear that even those associated with the industry aren’t sure about the film’s future. In the interview, he shared, “There is no clear cut picture. Also, there is no guarantee if I will write for it.” He further explained that assignments like these depend entirely on whether he’s approached. Drawing from past experience, he added that he had written for the first installment of Bhool Bhulaiyaa, skipped the second, and returned for the third, showing how unpredictable these decisions can be.

who plays Raju in the franchise, has also confirmed that the project isn’t moving ahead right now. In a conversation with Shubhankar Mishra, he said that while there’s always hope things might fall into place, nothing is happening at present. He hinted that the film is unlikely to start anytime in the near future, possibly not even within the next year. Without going into specifics, Akshay mentioned that certain behind-the-scenes issues—like agreements and other complications, are holding things up.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Akshay’s recent release Bhooth Bangla has been doing steady business. The horror-comedy has reportedly crossed Rs 78 crore in India within its first six days and has grossed around Rs 127 crore worldwide, giving the actor a solid run at the box office even as fans continue to wait for an update on Hera Pheri 3. Up next, he will be seen in Welcome To The Jungle set to release in theatres on June 26.
