South Africa has announced its central contract for 2024-25. The big news is that the South Africa board has dropped its explosive batsman Henrik Klassen out of the Central Contract. Not two, two legendary players have not received full contract, they have received hybrid contracts. Klassen’s name disappearing from the contract list is like a big shock for cricket lovers. In fact, Klassen is playing only white ball cricket after retiring from Test cricket in January 2024, so he was kept out.
Klassen gets more interest in T20 league
According to CSA sources, there is a discussion about Klassen’s future and his role in the national team. It is believed that he now wants to focus on playing in T20 leagues around the world, due to which he was kept out of the contract.
Miller and Dassen get ‘hybrid contract’
On the other hand, veteran batsman David Miller and Rasi Van Dusan have been given a hybrid contract. These players will now play for South Africa only in selected tours and ICC events. CSA is slowly trying to prepare new players instead of these two.
