The Yogi government of Uttar Pradesh has taken important decisions to make Mahakumbh 2025 safe and fire-free. Many restrictions and guidelines have been issued to prevent fire incidents in the fair. The government believes that by following the instructions, the safety of devotees and institutions can be ensured. Taking a lesson from the previous incidents, this time the Yogi government has completely banned the use of unauthorized equipment like heaters, blowers and immersion rods in the tents of Kalpavasis. The government aims to make the Mahakumbh 2025 a safe, organized and fire-free event with strict adherence to rules.

Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Limited (UPPCL) has issued strict guidelines regarding the use of electricity in the fair. Superintending Engineer Mahakumbh Manoj Gupta said that the use of equipment like heaters, blowers and immersion rods has been completely banned in the fair. These steps have been taken to prevent fire incidents. He said that the incidents that have happened earlier during the fair. Short circuit has been a major reason among them, which was caused by the heater or blower.

Prohibition on heater, blower and immersion rod

Executive Engineer Anup Sinha said that along with heaters, blowers and immersion rods, strict restrictions have also been imposed on the use of electricity by installing Katiyas. He said that if anyone uses electricity by installing a Katiya, then strict action will be taken against him. Strict action will be taken against the organization doing this. Apart from this, if any organization tampers with the wiring of the electricity department and any incident occurs due to that, then the organization will be responsible for the incident.

Purpose of making safe and fire-free

Anupu Sinha said that the institutions have been instructed that if they do the wiring themselves, then this work should be as per the safety standards. MCB and conduit pipe should be used for wiring. Along with this, the organization will have to obtain No Objection Certificate (NOC) from Electrical Safety after its wiring. He said that the objective of these steps of the government is to make Mahakumbh 2025 completely safe and fire-free. This time the Maha Kumbh will be an event where safety standards will be completely followed. So that lakhs of devotees can participate in religious events without any fear.
