Prayagraj, 21 November (HS). The hearing on the anticipatory bail plea of Seema Beg, wife of SP MLA Zahid Beg, has been postponed in the Allahabad High Court on Thursday. The case was to be heard in the bench of Justice Samit Gopal.
A minor maid was found dead in the house of Bhadohi SP MLA Zahid Baig on 9 September 2024. On September 14, 2024, a case was registered against the MLA, his wife and son under relevant sections at Bhadohi police station. The MLA is lodged in Naini jail of Prayagraj and his son is lodged in Varanasi jail. Meanwhile, his wife Seema Baig is still absconding. Seema Baig has filed a petition for anticipatory bail in the High Court. The court has fixed the date of December 4.
