A heart-wrenching incident has come to light in the Tajganj police station area of Tajnagari, where a young woman, fed up with the ‘deception’ hidden under the guise of khaki, embraced death. The girl was living in a live-in relationship with a constable of Agra Police for a long time.
Before hanging herself, the girl shared an emotional and sensational video on social media, which has created a stir in the entire police department.
‘Kept me like a wife, then went back on his promise’: Girl’s pain expressed in video
In the video recorded before suicide, the girl has made serious allegations against the constable of physically and mentally exploiting her on the pretext of marriage. The girl told that the accused constable kept her in the dark for about 4 years and treated her like his wife. Sobbing in the video, she said, “The accused had promised to marry me, but when I applied pressure, he backed out on the pretext of family wishes.” The girl also alleged that the constable’s brother was also ruining the life of another girl in a similar manner.
Last call of justice: ‘If not while alive, then justice should be given after death’
The helplessness of the girl was clearly visible in this suicide note (video) which went viral on social media. Crying, she said that she hoped that after her death, the police administration would give strict punishment to this ‘murderer’ lover. At the end of the video she said, “If I don’t get justice in life, I hope I get it after death.” As soon as this video surfaced, the police administration swung into action and top officials ordered an investigation into the matter.
Stain on khaki: Accused constable arrested, sent to jail
Seeing the seriousness of the matter, Agra Police took immediate action. On the complaint of the deceased’s family, a case has been registered against the accused constable under serious sections. After the image of the department was tarnished and he was found prima facie guilty, the police officials suspended the accused constable with immediate effect. Agra Police arrested the accused and presented him in the court, from where he has been sent to jail.
Viral video became the biggest evidence, forensic team engaged in investigation
The police have conducted post-mortem of the girl’s body and handed it over to her family. Investigating officials say that the video posted on social media is the most important digital evidence of this case, which has been included in the judicial investigation. The police are now also examining the call records and chats of the constable and the girl to find out to what extent the accused had tortured the girl.
