In Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh, a moneylender beat a young man to death for delay in paying the loan amount. The incident happened ten days ago. Since then, the seriously injured young man was admitted to a hospital in Delhi. Where he died during treatment on Saturday. After this, as soon as his body reached Gwalior, angry people blocked the Hanuman Tiraha by placing the body there. On receiving the information, the police reached the spot and with great difficulty pacified the people by convincing them.
In this case, the police have already arrested the moneylender and his friend. According to the police, Bhima alias Deepak Savita, who lived in Nagdev Ki Gali in Jiwaji Ganj of Janakganj police station area, used to work in a salon. Some time ago, he had borrowed 20 thousand rupees from a person named Rishabh Tomar to pay his son’s fees. He had not been able to arrange the money till now to repay the loan and the moneylender Rishabh was constantly demanding the money.
Was referred from Gwalior to Delhi
On 20th August also, Rishabh called Deepak near Kartikeya temple in Jiwaji Ganj for the same demand. The accused reached there with his friend Piyush Lodhi and after firing started kicking and punching Deepak. Deepak was badly injured in this incident and fell unconscious on the ground. On receiving the information, the police reached the spot and admitted him to the trauma center of Jayarogya Hospital for treatment. However, seeing his condition, the doctors referred him to Delhi after first aid.
Deepak was responsible for running the house
Since then Deepak was undergoing treatment in Delhi. Deepak was the youngest of two brothers. His elder brother remains ill, so the responsibility of running the house was on Deepak. Deepak also has a son and a daughter. According to the police, both the accused Rishabh Tomar and Piyush Lodhi were already arrested for attacking Deepak and sent to jail for attempt to murder. Now since Deepak has died, this case has been amended to murder charges.
The family members blocked the road by sitting on it
On the other hand, Deepak’s body was brought from Delhi to Gwalior late on Saturday evening. As soon as the body arrived, a large number of Deepak’s family members, relatives and other people reached the spot. People were so angry that they blocked the road by placing the body at Hanuman Tiraha. When the police reached the spot after getting the information, people put forward 5 point demands. This includes compensation of 50 lakhs to the family of the deceased, government job to one member of the family, bulldozer action on the house of both the accused, death sentence to both the accused and strict action against the policemen and doctors who were negligent in this case. However, the police pacified the matter after some time by convincing the people.
