IRCTC tatkal ticket booking timings
IRCTC opens the booking window for Tatkal tickets one day before the train departure date. If you want to book AC class tickets (2A/3A/CC/EC/3E), the booking windows open at 10:00 am, while for Non-AC class (SL/FC/2S) tatkal tickets, the booking windows open at 11:00 am. Can be booked from :00 pm.
IRCTC Tatkal Ticket Fees
IRCTC charges a little extra for booking Tatkal seats. If the price of normal ticket is Rs 900 then you will have to pay around Rs 1300 for Tatkal ticket. IRCTC charges 30 percent of the main fare for all classes (coaches) except Second Class (Sitting) and its rate is 10 percent.

Go to IRCTC website- irctc.co.in, now log in with your IRCTC user ID and password. If you do not have an IRCTC account, then you can click on the sign up option and create an account by following the instructions.
