In Haryana’s Charkhi Dadri, two migrant labourers were brutally beaten up on suspicion of eating beef. One of them died while another was badly injured. Haryana Police has arrested seven people involved in the incident. Three of them have been sent to judicial custody. The rest are on police remand. Everyone is being questioned.
The police sent the sample of banned meat to the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) for testing. This entire incident took place on 27 August. Giving information about this entire incident, Badhra DSP Bharat Bhushan said that on 27 August we received information that some people were eating banned meat in the slums of Hansavas Khurd village. People from the organization who had complained were also present there.
Police sent the meat sample to FSL lab
We went there and took samples of the meat being consumed and sent it to the FSL lab for testing. The next action will depend on the lab report. The DSP said that in the meantime, based on suspicion, the complainants went to other slums and kidnapped two people and beat them up, during which one person died and the other is injured.

So far 7 accused have been arrested
He further said that the police took immediate action and arrested seven accused, out of which 3 have been sent to judicial custody and 4 are on police remand. The investigation is going on and if other names come up, they will also be arrested.
The victim is a resident of North 24 Parganas in West Bengal and used to work as a garbage picker here. One company each of SSB and state police has been deployed here. We are also constantly monitoring social media posts.
