Harshit Rana: After the defeat in the Test series against New Zealand, the team management can now go with many changes in the playing eleven for the third Test match. The team management can give opportunities to these players by giving rest to some of their key players.
Some of these players may also be dropped from the team due to poor form. Team India is trailing 2-0 in the 3-match series and would like to avoid a clean sweep by winning the next match.
Harshit Rana can debut
The team management can give a chance to 4 players in the team for this match. Harshit Rana can get a chance to debut in this match. Harshit had performed well with ball and bat in the last Ranji match. Harshit had hit fifty with the bat and took 7 wickets in the match with bowling.
Because of which he has been added to the team for this match and he can also be given a chance to play in the playing eleven. Harshit can be given a chance in place of Akashdeep. Akashdeep’s last match was very bad and he could not take any wicket in both the innings.
KL Rahul may return
Whereas KL Rahul can be given a chance in place of Sarfaraz. Sarfaraz was not able to do anything special in the last match, due to which he can be dropped from the team and Rahul can be given a chance. Whereas Akshar Patel can be given a chance in place of Jadeja. Jadeja may be rested before the Border Gavaskar Trophy (BGT). Because of which Akshar can be given a chance in the team.
Rishabh Pant can be given rest
Rishabh Pant can also be rested from the playing eleven and Dhruv Jurel can be given a chance. If Team India has to win the Border Gavaskar Trophy again, then it is very important for Rishabh Pant to remain fit and in form.
Rishabh can also be rested because he was hit on his knee by Jadeja’s ball in the first Test match, due to which he could not even keep in the remaining match. Therefore, in his place, Dhruv, who performed well with both bat and keeping in the England series, can be given a chance in the team.
Probable playing eleven for the third test match-
Rohit Sharma (captain), Yashasvi Jaiswal, Shubman Gill, Virat Kohli, KL Rahul, Dhruv Jurel, Axar Patel, Ravichandran Ashwin, Washington Sundar, Harshit Rana, Jasprit Bumrah.
