Mumbai: Stand-up comedian Harsh Gujral had a humorous response when he was told that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had advised Indian citizens to avoid foreign travel.
Laughing it off, Gujral replied, “Hum kaunsa apne paise se jaa rahe hain” (As if we are travelling on our own money).
Gujral was travelling to Cape Town as one of the contestants for the upcoming season of Khatron Ke Khiladi.
When asked whether he had joined the show after Munawar Faruqui reportedly dropped out, Gujral said he himself got to know about his participation at the last minute.
“I really don’t know. I got to know about myself at the last minute,” he said.
He further added, “I think his wife has delivered a baby girl, and he is currently on paternity leave. But I want to make it clear that I have not replaced him.”
