Harley-Davidson has revised prices of the X440 motorcycle range in India, with all three variants receiving a price hike. The increase ranges from Rs 1,000 to Rs 5,000, depending on the variant, with the recently introduced X440 T witnessing the highest upward revision. The X440 is Harley-Davidson’s most affordable motorcycle in India and is manufactured by Hero MotoCorp under the brands’ partnership. Despite the latest price hike, the motorcycle has been registering healthy sales growth.
Harley-Davidson X440 Price Hike – Variant Wise
The entry-level X440 Vivid now costs Rs 2.36 lakh (ex-showroom), up Rs 1,000 from its earlier price of Rs 2.35 lakh. The mid-spec X440 S has become dearer by Rs 4,000 and is now priced at Rs 2.59 lakh, compared to Rs 2.55 lakh earlier. Meanwhile, the top-spec X440 T receives the largest increase of Rs 5,000. Introduced in December 2025, the T variant is now priced at Rs 2.84 lakh, up from Rs 2.79 lakh. All prices are ex-showroom.

The price revision does not bring any updates to the motorcycle. Harley-Davidson X440 continues to be powered by a 440cc, single-cylinder, air/oil-cooled engine that develops 27 hp and 38 Nm of torque. The engine is paired with a 6-speed gearbox.
The X440 T remains the most feature-loaded version in the range, equipped with ride-by-wire throttle, traction control, riding modes, switchable ABS and Harley-Davidson’s Panic Braking Alert feature. It also gets a revised rear subframe, redesigned tail section and updated grab handles.

Strong Sales Momentum Continues
The latest price hike comes at a time when Harley-Davidson’s entry-level motorcycle is witnessing strong growth in the Indian market. In April 2026, X440 registered sales of 1,505 units, up from 657 units sold in April 2025, reflecting a healthy 129% year-on-year growth.
Within the 350cc-450cc motorcycle segment, the X440 accounted for a 1.26% market share and outsold several rivals including KTM 390, Bajaj Dominar 350/400, Aprilia RS 457 and Triumph 400. The addition of the X440 T variant has further expanded the motorcycle’s appeal among buyers looking for a more feature-rich offering.

Sprint 440 Cruiser Up Next
Harley-Davidson is also preparing to expand its India-made portfolio with the . Announced earlier this year as part of Harley-Davidson’s global “Back to Bricks” strategy, the new motorcycle will be based on the same 440cc platform that underpins the X440.
Unlike the roadster-inspired X440, the Sprint 440 is expected to adopt a more traditional cruiser silhouette with a low-slung stance, relaxed ergonomics, wide handlebar and classic Harley-Davidson styling cues. The motorcycle will share several components with the X440 to keep costs in check while offering a distinctly different riding experience. Launch is expected later this year.
