The film not only emerged as a major success at the Indian box office but also performed exceptionally well worldwide. The small-budget film, with few backers and no major takers, surprised audiences. During its first two weeks, it failed to draw audiences to theatres, but things soon changed when a surge of moviegoers started flocking to theatres after positive word of mouth began making the rounds online. Soon, the film’s box office collection began to swell.

When the movie, Hanuman Ansh opened it merely minted Rs 10 lakh partly and had earned barely Rs 1.50 crore in its first two weeks in theatres. However, over the time, the positive world of mouth took over and the sales of the ticket shot up.
Later, when the fourth week, Hanuman Ansh has collected over Rs 60 crore net. On Wednesday, marking its 41st day in theatres, Hanuman Ansh added a solid Rs 6 crore net to its India box office tally. With this, the film’s domestic collection has climbed to Rs 237 crore net, or Rs 280 crore gross. The devotional film is now the fourth-highest-grossing movie in India this year, trailing only Dhurandhar 2, Border 2 and Spider-Man: Brand New Day.
What makes Hanuman Ansh’s box office run particularly noteworthy is its performance against Mirzapur: The Movie. Despite being a much newer release, Hanuman Ansh is currently earning nearly 50 per cent more than the latter.

Following the positive review started to float online, Hanuman Ansh was released worldwide as the distribution rights were snapped by Homable Films. With the film running overseas in the past two weeks, the film minted $2 million so far, taking the film’s worldwide gross to Rs 300 crore after 41 days.
