The ride takes place in two phases
This ride is completed in two phases. For this, first one goes from Gulmarg to Kongdori which is at an altitude of about 8500 feet. After this, one goes to Kongdori to Afravat which is present at about 13000 feet. This is a small beautiful journey which adds life to your trip. According to JKCCC, Rs 800 is taken from Indians in the first phase. For this second phase, Indians are charged Rs 1000. If you want to take a joy ride, then Rs 600 is charged for it. Note that this is only the fare to reach the peak, if you want to come back you will have to pay Rs 1800 again. According to this, one person has to pay Rs 3600.
