Who is Bhupat Bhayani?
Bhupat Bhayani had won the 2022 assembly elections as Visavadar MLA of Aam Aadmi Party. He became a giant killer for BJP in 2022. He has traveled a political journey from Sarpanch to MLA. Bhupat Bhayani was in BJP till 2017. However, in 2022 he contested the assembly elections from AAP.
Earlier he had also been the Vice President of Junagadh district. However, Bhayani was also suspended from the post of Sarpanch. Bhupat Bhayani is considered a close leader of former CM Vijay Rupani. Bhupat Bhayani’s departure is a blow to the Aam Aadmi Party before the Lok Sabha elections. The number of Aam Aadmi Party MLAs in Gujarat has now reduced to 4. Due to vacancy of Visavadar seat, re-election will be held here. Which will impact the Lok Sabha elections also. As the Lok Sabha elections are approaching, elections will also be held on the vacant Visavadar assembly seat in six months.
