How to plant bitter gourd seeds?
- You can easily get bitter gourd seeds from nurseries.
- Use the seeds by soaking them in water for 8-10 hours.
- For closed bitter gourd, you should choose a grow bag of 18Ă—18 inches.
- Prepare soil by mixing 50% garden soil, 30% cowdung manure or compost, 20% sand.
- Sow the seeds 1-2 inches deep and maintain some moisture in the soil.
How long will it take for closed bitter gourd to grow?
The plant starts bearing fruits 60-80 days after sowing the seeds. The plant will grow rapidly in sunlight for 6-8 hours daily. Make sure to add vermicompost or cow dung manure in 15-20 days.
